The Deep Blue Book is based around the text of a Russian bylina about a magic book that will answer any question. An ancient wikipedia, in a word. The questions asked of the book in the song deal with the usual issues of city of cities, river of rivers, etc. But towards the end there is a fable-like dream of a white and a black rabbit and how they provide the answer to the terrible state of the world.
